Travel Photography in Dubai
I thought
it would be tall but with struggling long-distance vision, the top was nearly
completely out of sight for me! Dubai photography locations don't get
any more wow factor that the Burj Khalifa. Perhaps the most popular and
impressive place to take photos in Dubai! Standing at almost one kilometer
high, the Burj Khalifa is the world's highest building. At the Fairmont there's
also a series of outdoor cabanas with beautiful views and palms to frame the
skyscrapers...works wonders for composition! You'll thank yourself later when
your pictures turn out great and you have money left over to spend on your
visit. Andrew's photography has been widely published and has won honors at
major photography competitions. We highly recommended to bring a lightweight
laptop for backing up photographs and for the post-processing class (either PC
or Mac), since we will be going over workflow and post-processing on the last
day of the workshop. A tripod is an absolute must for this workshop. It will be
needed for sunrise, sunset, and astrophotography shots.
Along the
harbour, restaurants serve fresh seafood specialities with al fresco seating in
the traditional-style buildings of the souk. Use your smartphone to take photos
of the souk (for personal use only), as photography of the harbour isn't
officially permitted. On your iPhone, use the burst mode to get a crisp image
with flying seagulls. Mobile phones are designed for many tasks. In a single,
compact device you have a digital camera! Here's another good spot to view
skyscraper, but with a nice reflection as well. Try going there before the
moon rises because it's awesome. For a few days in February of each year they
light up a bunch of mosques and municipal buildings in colorful lights.
Don't just
limit yourself to Dubai photography. Abu Dhabi, an hour and a half drive
south of Dubai, is a must see too. Don't miss the Sheikh Zayed Grand
Mosque, one of the most opulent and impressive religious buildings in the
world. The best way to capture it is to go above 75 floors if possible. Our
photographic story is born out of authentic and collaborative relationships. We
believe in the transformative nature of photography. There are great views
from many of the Dubai Marina bridges. Bottom line: wherever you aim
your camera in Dubai, you're almost guaranteed to capture an awesome shot. What
are you waiting for? Seriously, this city looks like one giant set from a Star
Wars movie. It doesn't stop there though; you've state-of-the-art highway grids
and interchanges and bridges which take your breath away. Don't forget your
tripod quick release adapters (we have had people before who forgot those). If
you always prefer shooting on a tripod, make sure to grab one that is easy to
set up (provided that it is not flimsy), as we would not want to delay the
whole group because of a single complex setup. There will not be any need for
monopods or other camera support gear for this workshop.
Keen
photographers should note that due to strong sunlight, the best time for Dubai
photography is at sunset. The old Dubai district of Al Fahidi makes for a
perfect contrast with all that high-rise glitz, while some of the most
spectacular images of the Emirate of Dubai come not from within the city but
out in the desert of the Dubai Conservation Reserve and in and around
Hatta village in the emirate's slice of Hajar Mountain scenery. You can
see thousands of these migratory birds in the wetland nature reserve of Ras Al
Khor. What makes this spot so special is the proximity to Downtown Dubai, the numerous
skyscrapers and main road networks. You can visit a few hides around the
reserve between Saturday and Thursday (closed on Friday's) between 09:00-16:00.
The view across the reserve from Ras Al Khor road, especially around sunrise
and sunset offer spectacular skyline views with the wetland reserve in the
foreground
Abu Dhabi Photography
When considering spots for the best Abu Dhabi
Photography experience your first stop has to be the Sheikh Zayed Mosque
- an incredible mosque exemplifying the beauty of Islamic architectural
brilliance. Spend about 1.5 hours in the mosque with your live guide.
Afterward, stop at the Abu Dhabi Corniche, and take a stroll with scenic
views of the Arabian Gulf. You will also see the Emirates Palace. Take
snaps for your photo collection with these wonderful structures as the
backdrop. Your next stop will be at the Marina Mall, where you can have your
lunch from Carrefour or Food court ( closed during Ramadan) or The full
Corniche view restaurant (at your own expense. Better yet, you can hire a
personal photographer in Abu Dhabi to get the work done for you all at an
affordable price! For thrill-seekers after some bubbly fun, the Warner Bros
World Abu Dhabi is the perfect spot for both you and your family with the best
part being the perfect temperatures all year out. With rides and loads of
attractions, life has never felt any better! Experience iconic and heroic cartoon
characters in the immersive lands at this great and grand man-made wonder.
After pickup in an air-conditioned 4WD vehicle, you'll enjoy a comfortable ride
to the desert. Once there, visit a camel farm to get up close to these animals
who are well adjusted to desert life. Next, take part in an exhilarating
dune bashing experience. Feel your stomach jump as the vehicle heads up and
down the steep sand dunes. Then, try your hand at sandboarding by
sliding down the dunes on a board. We loved this tour, and the dune bashing was
our favorite! One of the best cultural experiences I've ever had to date was
this mosque!
Dubai Photos
Dubai was the most extravagant place
I've ever traveled to. The city's persistent spotlight on luxury came as
a bit of a shock at first, but now that I think about it, it really did meet
all of my expectations. From million dollar yachts, a 7 star hotel, and a world
record around every corner, Dubai is the ultimate playground for the elite and
a photographer's dream. The pictures are stunning and exactly what we were
looking for. Can't decide which spot to take photos in when you visit Dubai?
Don't worry - our local Dubai photographers will help you decide which
photography spots are best for you. Our photos could not have turned out any
more perfect, we are literally obsessed with them. There is so much to learn
about a destination that has earned itself almost mythical status in only a
matter of decades. Many people’s interest in Dubai's cityscapes stems from
seeing its transformation first-hand while growing up. One of our best tips is
to book a tour by camel for your photoshoot for a stunning desert shot.
The vast dunes are so inviting for wide shots in particular and
the texture of an untouched dune is just magical. It's often windy out here and
that combined with the perfect light, gives the images a lot of life.
The Burj Al Arab is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab
Emirates. At 321 m (1,053 ft), it is the fourth tallest hotel in the world. The
Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 m (920 ft) out from Jumeirah
beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. It
is an iconic structure whose shape mimics the sail of a ship!
Dubai Desert Photoshoot
There is
something magical about the powdery dunes of Al Qudra desert in Dubai.
Combine that with a spectacular sunset and you get a perfect setup for a
Dubai Desert Photoshoot. For the photo session to be perfect, and the
image of the model to be harmonious, it is necessary to perform preliminary
preparation for shooting. Capture some of the most fun and cherishable
moments in the scenic locations of Dubai such as Dubai Frame, Zabeel
Park, Desert Safari, Dhow Cruise Creek or Marina. If you're looking for a
memento of a lifetime, something to remind you of your trip to Dubai, or an
image to celebrate a very special occasion, visit Dubai and find the greatest
opportunity for a Dubai Desert photoshoot of a lifetime! It was just
fantastic, we love sandboarding, riding a jeep in the middle of
the dunes, riding a camel. Very popular are Dubai desert photoshoots of
an oriental beauty, fascinating with her beauty, as well as traditional
photo shoots in the sand in a swimsuit, emphasizing the figure. The main
feature of a desert photo shoot is the need to travel from Dubai to popular
locations. Fortunately, the city and the desert have merged, so the path is
comfortable and short. We will also have our own driver at our disposal, who
will pick up the model from the hotel or any other convenient place and bring
him back after shooting. Dubai Desert film shooting for various locations can
be organized. In the past Hollywood and the Indian film industry have shot many
films in the deserts of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Desert is an unforgettable
place as it is vast, empty, and looks like a golden plate of Dubai.
Shooting and photography here can help anyone to capture the best moments,
which you will love to share with the world!
Dubai Sunset
The Palm
Jumeirah is the biggest man-made island in Dubai. You can take a photo stop at
the Atlantis hotel at La Pointe, the island's newest attraction. You can visit the best places for photoshoots
in Dubai or places to watch the Dubai sunset or sunrise during these
timings. This is your chance to take stunning shots that capture
the quintessential beauty of the emirate's distinct landscapes. Want to
see a spectacular sunrise in Dubai? Maybe you love the peacefulness and
natural splendor of watching the sun go down? Dubai is one of those cities that
always looks effortlessly stunning whether you're exploring it during the day
or after sunset. Go deeper inside the desert to get the best views possible and
catch your breath on the highest dune. Try your hand at sandboarding and
surf the sand, or just relax and take photos of the spectacular
views of the desert sunset.
As you get
to the peak of the dunes with the ride, take a break to relax and breathe in
the beauty of the desert terrains. Later, try your hand at
sandboarding. Strap the board onto your shoes and slide down the dunes. Don't
be scared to fall off your board, it is just like landing in a sea of silk.
While enjoying the sport, click photos of your fun-filled adventure and the
serene desert. Next, ride back to the starting point and proceed to the
ravishing Al Khayma desert camp. At the camp, be welcomed with the traditional Arabian
coffee, sweets, and dates. Hereafter, meet your friendly camel and enjoy
a ride in the desert, admiring the beauty of the dunes. Enjoy a
desert safari in Dubai. Ride a camel, enjoy exhilarating dune bashing, and have
an authentic barbecue while enjoying traditional dance. Then stay overnight in
a Bedouin tent, and go on a camel trek the next day
Most Instagrammable Places in Dubai
With lots
of walls spray-painted by local graffiti artists, Dubai has to be one
of the most instagrammable places. Not only can you get good shots of
yourself, but you can also get some good food shots since La Mer has more
than 130 restaurants and cafes. So dear foodies, you definitely cannot miss
out on this one. One of the most prominent landmarks of Dubai, Burj Khalifa
obviously has to be on the list. If there were to be a ranking of the most
Instagrammable cities in the world, Dubai would probably be
somewhere up there in the top. Finding the most instagrammable places in Dubai
can be a difficult task. Not because they are hard to find, but because there
are so many. It has a beautiful vibe that works well on Instagram. And once
you are done with the shoot, you can then enjoy a lip-smacking sunset dinner
cruise at the Dubai Marina. Cotton candy skies are the perfect backdrop
for the World's Largest Frame! Apart from shopping from high-end fashion brands
like Bloomingdales and Versace, you can dine at outstanding
restaurants. If you are visiting Dubai Mall with your family, there are
plenty of family entertainment options for you to explore. You will find The
Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, Dubai Ice-rink, KidZania for kids'
entertainment, and a huge Cinema Complex. Also, you can take pictures in front
of The Pointe, a waterfront spot across Atlantis the Palm. Breathtaking.
If you can find the right angles, you'll live for the photo-op moments at this
gem of a city. The 'swirly' tower at the Marina often makes for
another good backdrop. Don't miss catching the Cayan tower in one of
your 'gram moments.
Situated
near the Dubai Creek, Al Seef is a lovely area that
includes lots of restaurants, shops, heritage structures, and a waterfront
promenade. Although staying there is very expensive, luckily you don't need
to get inside to take some amazing pictures with it!
Palace
Downtown is a luxury hotel located in the posh area of Downtown Dubai with a
view of Burj Khalifa. You have to be the guest of the hotel to visit and see
the inside but you are allowed to see and photograph it from the outside which
makes it a great instagrammable place in Dubai!
